Happy blogger birthday to me! Yey! Today, I'm officially 6 years old as a blogger. I can't believe it's been that long already. I remember starting this blog in my first job as a way for me to record my life. My goal is to make this blog an extension of my brain, a storage of events that I can go back to. And I did just that. I shared a lot of things on this blog, even made this my stress reliever, my go to place to rant. Now it's a place for me to share my thoughts and opinions and not just talk about how my day went and what's good or bad about it.
The first title of this blog is "Whatever Goes Here", basically me being lazy to even think of a good name. Back then I thought, I wouldn't have anything specific topic to talk about anyway, so whatever goes. My topics back then ranged from personal opinions, movie reviews, music, photography and camera blog posts (I was starting to get into photography then), TV series, anime and a bunch more. My blog, my rules. To think that this happened when this blog was open to the public. I got comments from random people before especially on my so-called movie comments. I wanted to ask them, what do they think of my blog although I'm sure they'll say it's a mess.
Then I decided that this blog is too personal to be out in the open. I said too many things here that can be used against me and now that corporate offices scan through the web to do a background check on people, it's even more of a bad thing to keep this blog public. So I changed the title and turned it to semi-private. At the same time, I toned down my rants and promised to only post happy memories on this blog. I did, sort of. The thing with my blog is, it will always be my stress reliever. Sure I can talk to someone else but I still want to have my thoughts preserved online though I have to admit, I haven't really back read on my posts. I tried it before but I couldn't help feel ashamed on the way I was back then.
I have to admit, I still wanted to share my thoughts to everyone. That is why I collaborated with Mike and made a series of posts on his blog Slide and Tap. I still have a couple more to go. That way, I can still have this blog and share my opinions to everybody else. But it felt that it wasn't enough. I wouldn't just talk about gadgets and technology, I have things to say about other things as well. So I decided to create a new public blog. Too bad jusap was already taken so I had to use I'm Jusap.
I'm Jusap will be my blog for public consumption and my plan is to still keep this blog for more personal posts. Technically, my other blog will be a mirror of this blog. As a matter of fact, I've already posted some contents on it based from some of the blog entries here from this year. I still have to make a banner, fix the skin and links, and maybe even change the title. It's basically a work in progress. And maybe at some point, I'll transition out of this blog and just continue blogging there.
Blogging is a good thing for me and it's one of the few things I've been committed to for a long time. I may not be as active in blogging as I was last 2008 but I am still here, posting away. To my friends, thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. It means a lot to me that you do. I know that this blog is practically an FYI blog about what I've been doing and that is why I'm changing it with my other blog. I'll continue to blog until I can't do it anymore and even though I won't go back to my previous posts (maybe I will in the future), I'll continue to pile memories on my blogs just as I did when I first started 6 years ago.
Happy 6th blogger birthday to me! :)
